Brass & Voices of Wales
On Saturday June 17th, Owain Arwel Hughes will direct a gala performance of Brass & Voices of Wales in the magnificent setting of the Old Speech Room at Harrow School.
The concert follows the highly successful series of performances held annually at the Welsh Proms in St David's Hall, Cardiff each summer and in additional concert halls across the Principality, including the famed Llangollen International Eisteddfod. This particular performance has been organised to raise much needed funds for St Mary's, Harrow On The Hill and all proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the St Mary's Roof Fund. Featured performers include the illustrious Lewis-Merthyr Band and 80 strong Bridgend Male Choir all directed by renowned conductor Owain Arwel Hughes CBE. The programme will include Excerpts from Borodin's Danses Polovtsiennes, the epic March from Respighi's Pines of Rome and a wealth of traditional Welsh choral classics, including Myfanwy, Cwm Rhondda & more. Tickets for the performance are priced at £30 for premium reserved seating and £20 for unreserved. Tickets are available from Woodward on 0208 864 8844 |
